A teenage boy seeks solace in the gym. Hounded by agents of an industry designed to shame and isolate men, Elliot must decide if he will live in the light, or commit to the shadows.
TENSE was inspired by writer-director, Megan Fudge's time working in gyms; witnessing first-hand the rise in toxic self-help content aimed at young men. This short film platforms the urgent, topical phenomenon of the manosphere in a darkly comic body-horror.
TENSE was described as 'genuinely brilliant' by an Executive Producer at A24.
We plan to use TENSE as a proof of concept for an anthology series where each episode explores a form of unorthodox radicalisation or fringe belief. We are actively seeking funding and distribution for this.
